Update on the Boys

Randy went to the doctor and was officially released from wearing his walking boot and given the all clear to resume regular activities. He still has some restrictions on extreme sports, like wakeboarding, snowboarding etc. but he is thrilled to be a normal human again, with little to no pain. He is most excited about getting on the golf course soon!

Rhett turned 9 months and is doing great! He weighed in at 19lbs. 2 oz. and 28 3/4 inches. Still holding his 75th% percentile for height and 50th for weight. He is eating mostly solid foods and LOVES it! He doesn't like it so much now when I have to feed him. He wants to do it himself. We are entering the "I do it" stage. I have a feeling it is going to be a fun one!!

Fun Weekend and Shower

My sister Erin is having her 3rd baby, her first little boy! We threw a shower for her to celebrate and to get her stocked up on all the little boy gear. The shower turned out great and was a lot of fun!

My little sister Kylie flew out for the weekend to attend the shower and be here for Mother's Day. It was great to see her and get to spend some time together.

For Mother's Day we had dinner at my mom's and dessert at Randy's mom's house. It worked out well to get to see everyone and enjoy our time together.

I was a looser and didn't take any pictures of Mother's Day. I only have one of all of us sisters and our mom but it is on my mom's camera so I don't have a digital image. Dang!

Naughty Boy!

I got Rhett out of his crib the other morning and he had all this black stuff on his face. It took me a second to figure out what it could be. I went back over to his crib and found this . . .

Yep! Those are teeth marks in his crib. Took the finish right off!

So pleased with himself!

This is a bit of karma, I did the same thing and absolutely destroyed my crib as a baby. Dang it! Hate Karma!!!

Impromptu trip to Santa Barbara

Randy called me the other day and said he had to go up to Santa Barbara for work and asked if Rhett and I wanted to join him for the day. We quickly got ready and met Randy at work and headed out for SB. We took care of business first and then spent the day hanging out together. We went to lunch, walked the pier and met up with Randy's sister, Leslie and her family who live in Goleta. We spent a couple of hours at a beautiful ranch where our niece has riding lessons. There are 30 houses boarded there that we got to pet and feed carrots to. Rhett wasn't scared of the horses, even reaching out to pet them but he loved the puppies on the ranch! We then had a delicious dinner and spent the evening at Randy's sisters house. Thanks Les and family for everything. We had a great day!

Rhett loved to look over the edge of the pier at the water.

Rhett 8 month Photo Shoot

I'm Back!

My blog has been so neglected. My house has been so neglected. I have paperwork stacked up in the office a mile high. But I am back and it feels so good to be home again!! I spent the last few weeks working a temporary job for the US Census Bureau. It was a less than glamorous job but it paid real money, which was nice. :) Real money or not, being home with my baby is the best thing in the world and nothing can compare. I am spending this week playing with Rhett, taking him to the park and on walks, as well as catching up on household chores, emails and blogging. It is good to be back doing the things I love. (Sad that household chores are now enjoyable!) Just let it be known, it is my opinion, that working is SOOOO much harder than being at home! Disclaimer: I have one child, that has no siblings to fight with and is at a wonderful age! My opinion might change someday. :)

Easter 2009

Easter was another busy holiday for us. We went to church with family in Camarillo and enjoyed a beautiful program. Dinner was at my mom's house. Dessert and Easter Egg Hunt was at Randy's mom's house. We had a great day with lots of family! What better way to spend a holiday!
