We went to Utah to see my sister Kylie and her husband Cody and their new house. While we were there we also got to spend some time with our nephew Cory, his wife Rachel and meet their first baby, Jocelyn. It was short, busy, and a great time.
Here is a run down of the trip.
Saturday - First things first, we had Cafe Rio for lunch. Afterwards Kylie, Rachel and I took the kiddos and did a little shopping for Kylie's house. Cory and Randy went shooting and hiking. Later that evening we all joined back up and went out to dinner together.
Sunday - we slept, relaxed and Erin and Jeff and kids arrived. We played some Wii, took the kids to the park, and made dinner together.
Monday - Kylie and Cody had to work. :( Randy and Jeff went golfing, Erin and I took the kids to the Gateway Discovery Museum. The kids had a great time! We all met up that evening for dinner. After dinner the boys took the kids for some ice cream and back home to hang out while us sisters had some quality time together hitting a few shops and catching a movie.
Tuesday - The boys took the kids to the aquarium (not as great as the discovery musuem) and we hit one last stop for some decor for Kylie's house. And before heading home we hit Cafe Rio again for lunch. We then made the long journey home.
Erin and Kylie spent the afternoon decorating with our fun finds.
Rhett was a good traveler. This trip he didn't want to sleep in his pack-n-play, instead preferring sleeping in bed with us. Not a fan but at least he slept. Randy and I didn't so much. We timed our drive as best as we could around his sleeping so he was only awake about 4 hours each way (not bad for a 12 hour drive). If I could have sat in the back seat with him and read and played with him it would have been perfect but after 20 minutes I was quite nausiated so paci and cartoons saved the day. He said "mom" about 1 million times and we sang LOTS of songs, but overall, he did great!
Thanks to Kylie and Cody for letting all of us crash their house, especially after only living there a few weeks themselves.
