Randy has a new job and his first day is today!! The company Randy and I both worked for for the past 5 1/2 years abruptly closed it's doors on July 29, 2008. It was a surprise to everyone, no one saw it coming, especially the way it unfolded (but that is a whole other story)!
We were blessed with a contract for him to go back in and clean up what was left in the pipeline and as he was doing that he was presented with this new job opportunity. Through the whole thing Randy was not out of work one day! What a wonderful blessing. We are so grateful for this experience and the new job opportunity for him.

The Cutest Thing Ever!
I know I am partial but this is the cutest thing I have ever seen! I have been busy this week and so I haven't posted but this was worth me taking the time to post! Rhett turned 6 weeks on Tuesday, which means he has the official clear from the pediatrician to go out and about and socialize. There were quite a few things that were put on hold while we spent 6 weeks at home so this week has been busy with errands and getting some things done. We thoroughly enjoyed or time at home bonding and getting to know Rhett. He is a doll! He is now smiling (as you can see) and cooing at us. He lays and plays and listens to music. We love him to pieces!

Congrats!
Congratulations to my little sister Kylie who is engaged!! Kylie and Cody will be married in the Los Angeles Temple November 14th! Kylie brought Cody home recently to meet the family. We had a good time getting to know him and hope he enjoyed his visit. Really we just hope we (especially Randy) didn't scare him away. :) We love you both and are excited to have Cody in our family.

Rhett Damon Bryce
Rhett was born August 5th at 1:41pm. He weighed 7lbs. and was 21". He joined us 15 days early! Randy's family had just made me promise to not have him that week since they were all on a lake vacation for a week. Oops! Sorry, I didn't really have much say. We were all just happy that Randy was home. He was supposed to be at the lake with his family!!! Some very kind friends had volunteered to be my coaches at the hospital, in the event Randy was gone, and they almost had to be! A little, well not so little, twist in fate made Randy stay home that week from the lake and we (especially me) were oh so happy he was there. He said, he would have made it for the delivery either way, so it wasn't that big of a deal BUT how mad would I have been if he missed the actual labor part. I mean, isn't that part of the deal, your husband is supposed to see you in excruciating pain so he is amazed by you and loves you more than he ever thought possible! right?! Anyway, I digress . . . here are some pictures of our little bundle of joy. He is just perfect and we are so happy to have him here!

Official Bloggers
I have been a blog stalker for quite some time now. It really is great entertainment when you are at work! :) But seriously, I have enjoyed keeping up with friends and often thought of doing my own blog. What to post, was the question that kept me from blogging. However, since Rhett was born so many people have told me I HAVE to start a blog now. So, here it is! I finally did it. Now let's see if I can think of things to post to keep it up.
