I hate that I am one of those people that lets weeks go by with out posting on their blog. I mean, Valentine's Day is my last post. That was weeks ago and who really cares about my Valentin's Day anyway. It is for journal purposes but still! I have just been too busy trying to keep all the balls in the air. I came out of the gates of this whole surgery thing going strong but it is the mid way point and I am feeling sluggish. Not to mention Rhett is teething again, which means little sleep for both Rhett and I. This is my pattern though. This is what I would always do in school. Start the semester off strong, get lazy in the middle and then pick my self up and finish off with a bang. Think I can manage the next 7 or so weeks and finish off with a bang!?!?! If you asked me that Friday I would have said a big fat H*@L NO!! But, after a little escape to a King's game with Randy yesterday, some dear friends watching Rhett and mowing the lawn for us and some yummy Pizzatopia for dinner (There pizza was better then I remember it being, maybe it was b/c I was STARVING, but nevertheless the dessert pizza never dissapoints!) I think I am back on track. Let's hope anyway! :)
(But let's not count the weeks again, that made me a little sad, saying 7 more weeks! We'll just take it one week at a time.)

Rolling About
This little contraption is a LIFESAVER!! It looks funny and Randy gets lots of stares and comments but it is SO worth it. Instead of crutches Randy uses this "roll about" to roll his gimp leg along. He walks normally with his good foot and this bad leg rolls along with him. He can now hold and carry things for himself, making him more independent, which makes both of our lives easier! I no longer have to get everything for everyone all the time, he can get himself a drink, a snack etc. He even took the trash cans in for me the other day. So nice! I am getting so spoiled! Ha!ha!
Yes, Randy's cast is bright pink. . . his favorite color! (I am not kidding!)

Happy Valentine's Day
Randy and I are pretty simple when it comes to Valentine's Day. We usually just exchange cards, no gifts, and go out to dinner or get take out and go to the beach. This year we didn't even exchange cards. We were talking on Friday night and realized neither one of us had bought a card yet, so we decided to forget about it and save ourselves the trip to the store! :) (We are so romantic, I know!) Simple as it was, it was still a great Valentine's Day. We got up and had a pancake breakfast. Randy even stood on one leg and help me do the dishes after. What a nice guy!! We then laid on the couch in our pajamas and watched a movie while Rhett took a nap. We didn't even shower until the afternoon! Generally that wouldn't be fine with either one of us but this time we just enjoyed lounging about. It was just what I needed. I have been so busy it was so nice to relax and not do anything at all! We did finally get up and get going and went to dinner with my family. My little sister Kylie and her husband Cody were in town from Utah and so we all went out to dinner at Andria's in Ventura. It is one of our absolute favorite whole in the wall restaurants. It is a fish place on the Ventura Harbor where you get the BEST Halibut fish and chips! So YUMMY! We then finished off the night with some dessert. What could be better!
Happy Valentine's Day Randy! Love you!!!

Rhett's 1st Teeth
Rhett has two teeth! It felt like it took forever so we were so happy to see those little white caps come through. Over all he wasn't too bad during the whole teething process. We had a week or so that was hard but overall he is pretty easy going. We did learn however that Tylenol does NOT work for him. It does not take away the pain but instead makes him SUPER HYPER! He would play, jabber and move, more like flail, constantly and then he would get really tired but he couldn't go to sleep, so the poor kid would just scream! We tried dye free Tylenol thinking maybe it was the red food coloring but it was the same result. Honestly I was happy! I didn't want to have to deal with the food color allergy! So, we tried infant Motrin and that did the trick. Thank goodness!
6 months
Rhett turned 6 months old on February 5th! I can not believe the time has gone by so fast but at the same time I don't know what we did with out him. He is getting so big and doing so many new things all the time. He has started to not like his bottle very much but enjoys his baby food and cereal. He LOVES adult food and will lunge and grab at anything you are eating or drinking. He really wants to grow up fast! He babbles to us all the time, which we love. He has started this really high pitch scream which we do NOT love! Oh well! At least he usually only does it when he is tired. We love to play peek-a-boo, sing "Popcorn Popping" and I love to tickle him. He is honestly the most ticklish little baby I have ever seen. He squirms and giggles, it is too cute!
