Snow Fun!

We took another trip to the snow to go tubing this year.  We took our nephew Mike with us so Rhett would have another kid to play with.  Rhett was so excited for Mike to spend the night and for the trip to the snow,  that he stayed up WAY too late and got up REALLY early!  We went on a few runs and then had lunch.  After lunch Rhett decided he wanted to go home.  It is way too long of a drive for that so Randy took Rhett to the car to let him watch a movie and have some time to relax.  Mike and I continued tubing. After a little R&R and a talk from Dad Rhett was ready to go for some more runs!  (thank goodness!)  We had a great time going down the hills as many times as possible!

Cubbie

Cubbie the Scout is a from Rhett's preschool.  They get to take it home for a week and then return it to school with a page in his travel journal showing all the adventures you had with Cubbie.  Cubbie is pretty cute!  He says the cub scout motto when you push his hand.
Rhett LOVED having Cubbie! He made sure he got him dressed each morning and in his jammies at night.  He read him books in bed after we put them to sleep.  We took Cubbie to the park, church and on our Saturday morning bike ride to the donut shop.  Rhett's cousins Emery, Fallon and Porter were here for Spring Break so they got to meet Cubbie and have sleepovers together too! Until next year Cubbie!

Welcome Home Elder Neeley

Our nephew Chad returned home from serving his 2 year mission in Fort Lauderdale Florida.  It was so great to see him!  We are grateful for his service and example and are excited to have him home.
Waiting for Chad to land.

Lunch Date with Dad

Randy picked Rhett up from school today.  Rhett LOVES when his Dad picks him up from school.  They went to the local golf course and putted around.  I grabbed us all lunch and met them at the course.  We ate our picnic lunch and then shot some more balls.  It was a gorgeous day and so much fun to hang out for lunch.

No Training Wheels

Rhett learning to ride his bike with no training wheels!
He has mastered his two wheeler and has moved on to the dirt track.  He LOVES going to the track and asks to go all the time!

Bedtime Reading

We always put Rhett to bed with a book or two, a song and a prayer. We have done this routine his whole life. He goes right to sleep and never comes out of his room, with a small handful of exceptions. Rhett always has a lot of energy but today was exceptional! We played golf, rode bikes, ran races and rode more bikes, and played tag and he still had TONS of energy.  When Randy got home from work we went to the duck park, fed the ducks, he rode his bike all over and we ran more races.  After the park we went home and had dinner.  I thought for sure he would crash after dinner.  Not a chance! He was still full of energy!  When it came bedtime we did our normal routine.  A few minutes later we heard the lock on Rhett's door click.  We went to the door to check things out.  Rhett had locked the door, turned on the light, got books on his bed and was "reading" his books out loud.  Obviously he can't read yet but we have read his books so many times he has them all memorized.  Randy and I had so much fun listening to him "read".  My personal favorite is when he talks in different voices.  He read for a while and then went to bed.  Love him!

Rhett's Big Boy Room

view from the door

a closer look at the gallery wall.  it is hung a little high but i did that since it was over the bed.

a closer look at the bookshelf that serves as nightstand.
randy built it.

the view of the other side of the room.  the sign is a real street sign from a town in florida.
i plead the 5th on how that sign was obtained.
