Bedtime Reading
We always put Rhett to bed with a book or two, a song and a prayer. We have done this routine his whole life. He goes right to sleep and never comes out of his room, with a small handful of exceptions. Rhett always has a lot of energy but today was exceptional! We played golf, rode bikes, ran races and rode more bikes, and played tag and he still had TONS of energy. When Randy got home from work we went to the duck park, fed the ducks, he rode his bike all over and we ran more races. After the park we went home and had dinner. I thought for sure he would crash after dinner. Not a chance! He was still full of energy! When it came bedtime we did our normal routine. A few minutes later we heard the lock on Rhett's door click. We went to the door to check things out. Rhett had locked the door, turned on the light, got books on his bed and was "reading" his books out loud. Obviously he can't read yet but we have read his books so many times he has them all memorized. Randy and I had so much fun listening to him "read". My personal favorite is when he talks in different voices. He read for a while and then went to bed. Love him!

Rhett's Big Boy Room
view from the door
a closer look at the gallery wall. it is hung a little high but i did that since it was over the bed.
a closer look at the bookshelf that serves as nightstand.
randy built it.
the view of the other side of the room. the sign is a real street sign from a town in florida.
i plead the 5th on how that sign was obtained.

Ultimate Favorites!
One of my most favorite pictures of these two! They are so much a like it is unreal! I couldn't love it more!
Good Choices
Rhett was doing something naughty Saturday morning. I said, "Rhett you need to make good choices". His reply: "I will make good choices tomorrow!" Randy and I could barely keep it together. Although sometimes those moments are funny the overwhelming potty talk, bad manners, tougue sticking out, tooting and burping is more then I can handle. Family Night on Monday was a lesson in good manners. We are using the fuzzy jar again. When he uses good manners he gets fuzzies. When he uses bad manners a fuzzy gets taken away. The goal: A trip to Chuck E. Cheese. Let's hope it is sufficent bribery!
Monster Jam
Rhett LOVES Monster Trucks! What 3 year old boy wouldn't think big huge trucks that do tricks are cool?! So we decided to take him to a Monster Truck Rally. Unfortunately that was the end of summer and the soonest one wasn't until now. After much waiting we finally made to Monster Jam! We got lots of flack for being white trash going to a Monster Truck Rally but, we didn't care, because we will do anything to make Rhett happy! It turned out to be so much! Very entertaining!
It was pretty loud when all the trucks came in!
Nothing some ear plugs can't fix.
So excited! He was cheering and having such a blast!
It was a great time! Call us white trash but this will not be the last Monster Jam the Bryce's go to! :)
Disneyland
All I wanted for my birthday was to go to Disneyland for my birthday and so we did! Rhett and I had passes last year but Randy never went with us. Going to Disneyland with your child and seeing their excitement makes Disneyland truly magical so I wanted us to all go together. We had a great time!
We let Rhett pick out a treat. He looked at both Woody and Buzz but ended up with a Buzz! He was so excited!

Rocky Peak
We enjoyed another beautiful day hiking at Rocky Peak. I think hiking is our thing this year. We are all really enjoying it!
Like Randy's outfit? It's pretty awesome! Rhett picked it out.
Rhett brought his "life saver" aka light saber to fight off the bears in the caves.
He told me that he and Dad would fight off the bears and I should stay back and be careful!
